The new property manager (just here the past few months I think) has been great. Very communicative and timely as far as letting tenants know about any info that comes up, and quick to return phone calls. I stopped by the office to meet her today, and she is both professional and personable. I feel that she is an asset to the apartment building and to the management company, and will be great with the tenants.

Had a great conversation with the manager Kristie. Gave me so much information about the building and things to do in the area. I've been searching for a new home for a long time and I can't wait to see the apartment now.

This is a fantastic place to live! I originally moved in here by myself, and Kristie, the manager, walked me through every step even as I was moving across country. She was super helpful when I wanted to add a roommate to my lease, and she and Edgar (head of maintenance) both clearly care about their residents and have done an amazing job taking care of us. My neighbors are all really friendly, and the neighborhood itself is tucked away on a nice little street. I've enjoyed living here for the past year and a half, and even more important, my cat loves it here, too ;)

Kristie the apartment manager at Studio City Hills Apartment is a godsend, which makes it an amazing place to live! She is friendly, personable, caring, passionate on what she does and super knowledgeable! She makes living here a joy. I don't have to worry about things being taken care of, because she is very attentative to the well being of the tenants and the building itself.

I have been calling Studio City Hills home for the last 8 years and what made me stay that long is; the professionalism and attentiveness of the Property Manager. Kristie always made this facility clean, well-kept, friendly, safe for everyone, quick to respond and I can’t thank her enough. I love this place, my time here and I will always recommend it to others.

Do not consider moving into an apartment at Studio City Hills. The management company (Leonardo Management Inc in Redondo Beach) will not return your security deposit in 21 days (California has a law stating landlords must return a tenant's security deposit within 21 days), will not answer your calls, will intentionally force you to leave a message with any of its departments (I left messages with tenant relations, accounting, the VP and the President) and will not return your calls. My security deposit was finally received 81 DAYS AFTER I MOVED OUT and after 10-12 phone calls. The management company did not provide a printed list of deductions with my returned security deposit (California has a law stating landlords must provide such a list to its tenants after moving out) no matter how many people I called. Then there is the onsite property manager. She did not take my calls, return my calls or return my texts after I moved out. Not one! She replied to half of my emails after I moved out. The property manager's extremely poor communication behavior was more shocking given the fact that I emailed her a five star review with my 30 day notice to forward to Leonardo Management. Furthermore, she never replied to my email before moving out where I requested the exact amount of my last month's rent check. Coincidentally, Leonardo has a very confusing formula for calculating your last month's rent and utilities. I moved out on the 10th of November and I had to guess my prorated rent for 10 days and my prorated utilities for 10 days and any other moving out fees. Leonardo and this property manager did not provide me with a last month's statement at the end of October either... I was a tenant for 32 months at Studio City Hills. The first week I lived here, my girlfriend's $77K car WAS TOWED from the front of the building despite the property manager describing to me where her tenants were allowed to park legally. The towing company charged me $400 to release my girlfriend's car!!! After that night my girlfriend was always stressed about parking her car in front of the building overnight! Even I was stressed to park my car on the street after that experience. More importantly, Leonardo Management never offered to reimburse me for the TOWING AND IMPOUNDING FEES! A year before I moved out, there were more NO PARKING signs posted near the property and all Studio City Hills tenants were required to have a parking permit hanging in their cars! Very thankfully, she did not tow one of my vehicles after she issued her placards. In short, outdoor parking was a recurring nightmare for me for 32 months.
